In Rio by far the most joyful behaviour i witnessed in the street was kids, especially girls dancing to carioca funk music, the movements are sexual and exuberant. With Rio Film maker Marcia Derraik I made a 15 minute documentary about safety and joy and sexy dancing in the streets.

Rio Street Training

One night here in Rio at a private view for a gallery called Gentil Carioca spontaneously I orchestrated my friends to lift up my friend Lila and we carried her off but she wasn't shouting!!! We walked along together a little girl hanging out of the doorway smiled at us, we proceeded to climb scaffolding play and swing off it.

This is a picture Of Eliza and Cintia at Morro Dos Prazeres. People Who live here walk up long stair cases every day, Eliza says she can't stand doing it but she also says she uses it as a chance to work out. When I walked up the hill with lots of gilrs- friends and family of Eliza one evening after small party and feijoada at her house we stopped to rest intermittently along the way.
